Disney will also launch Double the Magic, a two-show package. Disney’s new plan offers a unique combination of planning and flexibility. Traditionally, theatre-goers had two approaches to grabbing tickets: advance purchase (which doesn’t give flexibility if your plans change) or last-minute options like the TKTS booth or show lotteries (frequently cheaper, but don’t allow you to plan ahead). This marks a major shift in the Broadway ticketing system. Plus, Disney itself will pay 100% of Ticketmaster service and order fees (a huge annoyance for anyone who’s ever used Ticketmaster). Guests will have the ability to exchange their tickets for a different day-or even cancel them-at no extra charge, all the way up to the day of the performance. So when fans book tickets to see The Lion King or Aladdin, things will look a little different than before. ![]() ![]() ![]() “After 18 months of being apart we are thrilled to welcome our audiences back and are proud to introduce these unique benefits to make buying Broadway tickets risk-free, flexible and affordable,” said Thomas Schumacher, President & Producer at Disney Theatrical Productions. ![]()
